This is a very simple tool for removing the fuel sender on Europa fuel tanks. This tool is intended to remove the type of sender that is held in by a lock ring with three tabs. Cut a piece of 1/8" mild steel plate to 3" by 6". At one end using a center punch, mark a center that is 1 1/2" from one end and centered 1 1/2" from each side. Scribe two circles centered on the mark. One circle is 1 3/4" in diameter, and the other is 2 3/8" in diameter. On the outer circle mark three points that are equally spaced around the circle. You can do this with a compass and a little trial and error. Center punch the three points. Using a 1 3/4" hole saw, cut out the inner circle. Now drill a 1/4" hole at each of the three points that you marked on the outer circle. The three holes will slip over the lock ring tabs, and the center hole will give clearance to the wire connectors on the sender. Just turn the tool counter clockwise to remove the lock ring. If it is stuck, TAP the tool with a hammer.
