  • 1967 Lotus Europa S1 (460254) $5,000 / Make Offer - Sold 9/30/10
    • The Lotus Europa S1 is currently in Ohio. This car is a roller in process of being prepped for track use only. It has always been a race car, hence there has never been any registration for the street. I do have the 1974/75 original SCCA Logbook when the car was raced in the Chicago area.
    • The suspension is completed and the chassis correctly aligned, the car is ready for roll cage installation and reassembly. There are 4 engines (including the original) , 6 transaxles (3 disassembled), 2 sets of (4) alloy racing wheels, many replacement suspension, brake, and engine parts. One engine is completely rebuilt, with a new turbo and manifold to put on it. Extra Weber dual throat carb (new in box), two complete engine gasket sets (unopened pkgs), oil coolers, radiators, many, many boxes of spares, etc.
    • The suspension is new and has been installed. Many numerous new parts. All parts plus some extras included to reassemble. Fuel cell. New Warneford carbs and intake manifolds. New brakes and 4 calipers. Engine Manual
    • The sale of this vehicle is to settle an estate and is currently open to offers.

  • 1973 Europa TCS (73073832R) Big Valve Twin Cam - Sold 6/7/10 to Switzerland
    • Titled for 1974.
    • I have owned this car for about a year and have made no headway, I need the room.
    • I had the engine running briefly, and poorly. I bought it from someone who, 10 years prior, had pretty well gone through the car, and then proceeded to let it sit. Frame is solid, interior is not bad, new tires and lots of other new 10 year old stuff. Certainly a good candidate to restore.
    • Seats, inner door panels and dash are not bad, but the carpets and dash are.
    • I had the carbs apart and got them freed up.
    • Pulled one gas tank but they both need to be welded or replaced. I have the aircleaner assemblies and the basic tune up parts for the car. The car has the front luggage "tub" and an original manual that would go with it.
    • $4,500.00
    • Also Spares available but not included: 336 gear box, 2 doors, bonnet and engine cover
    • 40,500 miles. Located in Katonah, KY 10536

  • 1972 Europa TC (72072502R) - Sold 5/4/10 for $4,450.00
  • 1970 Europa S2 (70mmdd0351R)- Sold 5/8/10 for $3,850.00
  • Steve's AutoX S2. - Sold 5/3/10
    • I bought this car several years ago from an estate...the adventure out and back, from PA to Seattle and back, is known to a few listers. It took more than I thought (doesn't it always) to get the car ready for competition.
    • I autocrossed it several times and it is a delight...very fast, but I just don't have the time or the garage space to continue.
    • Here are a few of the mods:
    • Excellent body with flares
    • Very light car, approx 1200 #
    • Full cage tied into suspension
    • On board fire suppression system (may need upgrading)
    • Adjustable driver's seat
    • Excellent R-16 race engine (estimated 135-145 HP)
    • Renault 4 speed 336 gearbox
    • Modified shifter
    • Coilover spring /shocks at all four corners
    • Adjustable tubular anti-roll bars front & rear
    • Four-wheel disk brakes with Tilton pedals
    • Driver-adjustable brake bias
    • Front Brakes: 11 inch, Willwood Superlite Calipers, 4 piston, cross-drilled
    • Rear Brakes: 9.5 inch, Willwood Superlite Calipers, 2 piston
    • Wheels: 13 x 7 Panasports front & rear (spare set of minilites)
    • Tires: Hoosier R-25 slicks with less than 30 minutes on them
    • Front: 20x8x13 Rear: 20x9.5x13
    • Moroso 3 quart oil accumulator
    • Electric water pump (driver controlled)
    • Aluminum radiator with electric fan (driver controlled)
    • Electromotive cam-driven ignition
    • 10 gallon fuel cell

    • I did not compete at the SCCA national level AutoX but I believe thefollowing is accurate:
    • The car could be classed at either X-Prepared (minimum weight = 1722, so it must be ballasted up), or D Modified Minimum weight = 1280). Perhaps Jay could verify my numbers.
    • I believe the car, subject to verification, may be more competitive as an SCCA club racer (minimum weight with driver = 1330. It would need a few modifications, but it is a terrific starting platform if you want to go that route. Naturally, it also has similar potential for vintage racing.
    • Besides needed garage space, what do I hope to get out of it? I was thinking of the $9,500 range-$10,000 range.
    • I thought I'd offer the car on this site first before I put it on Ebay...

The car needs a windshield and the engine is seized from sitting. The car is complete otherwise, all electricals work, door pins not seized, interior could use some work on upper door upholstery at window but otherwise not too bad, seats perfect, carpet faded by sun but would not replace. body needs paint, regular spider cracks in fibre panels, all running gear is good but since the car is based on Triumph underpinnings all is easily available. Tires on steel rims are shot, aftermarket alloy rims included (13"). Full set of manuals included. for more information or pics please contact.

  • 1973 Europa TCS (73033151R) - Sold 10/23/09
    • I am offering my 1973 TC #3151 for sale. It is a complete but not running car. I bought it to restore but recent health issues have caused me to have to part with it before I have really begun. This car is a California car with what checks out to be a good solid frame with only surface rust. Suspension parts also. Moisture inside requires a new pedal assembly and new seats. Seat center sections and headrest are all useable. Car has never been in any serious accidents and the body has only a crack above the right front wheel. All glass is perfect with a new windshield and rear window which are not yet installed. Other missing items include windshield trim, engine cover lock, right rear tail light lens and an alternator. As mentioned it is not running but the engine turns over smartly with the starter motor.

  • 1973 Europa TCS (73043324R) - Sold 10/22/09
    • Just 60,000 miles on the car. I have decided to sell this one and work on my other Lotuses. It was stored for 20 some odd years and brought out 3 1/2 years ago. The engine, brakes have been rebuilt. It has new tyres, now with about 650 miles since the rebuild. I have receipts, books, manuals for the car. It also has a new stainless steel header, muffler new clamps etc. I just serviced it Saturday. I have a lot of new parts for the car, like U-joints, shims, springs, new updated wiring harness from England, along with many other new parts. I have old parts for the car as well, like the brake boosters, old exhaust system, misc items.
    • The interior is in excellent shape, exceptional for the age of the car. The paint is good, was resprayed white in early 1980's. Originally the car was red. The car comes with an aftermarket "Cool Air" air conditioner system with rebuilt compressor, all necessary hardware, switches, wiring harness, hoses, brackets, factory center console, installation manual. To my knowledge all it's missing is the condenser.
    • One note, the headlights are currently not working, I think due to a short or bad ground. I am going to investigate the problem soon. Price is $10,000.00 U.S.

  • Right Hand Drive 1970 Europa S2 (7001010026P) - Sold 10/2/09
    • I am selling a 1970 Lotus Europa that was part of an estate inheritance. The car has not been registered since 1990. It was stored in a garage all this time in Indiana. I recently brought it back up to Michigan and transfered the title without a problem. I have performed a lot of mechanical work on it to get it going. It runs drives and stops. Most everything electronic works, lights, heater, cooling fans etc. I would highly recommend this be trailered home since I have not really taken it anywhere far from home. The body is 100% fiberglass and it has aged well but to restore it properly it will need a few sopts attended to but it is not all spider cracked which is a tendancy on these cars. Its non original paint and its not in the great of shape there are some scuffs. The interior is pretty nice original not major rips or tears. It is a rear engine 4 cylinder rear wheel drive and the steering is on the right hand side so this is the european version. I dont know when it was imported. I have a lot of paperwork and books on the car.

  • Carbon Fiber Shell - Sold 9/14/09
    • I'm having a shop cleanout, and would like to get rid of a Europa shell I've had for a while. This particular shell was fabricated for Larry Shauf and was the winning national SCCA "D" Mod car for many years. It is made from hand laid carbon fiber. I aquired it a while ago, and used it as shop decoration. I need to sell it now as I will be moving soon. - $750

  • 1974 Lotus Europa Special #4458R (74044458R) - Sold 8/4/09
    • This Europa looks stock except for the sunroof and headlight covers, but it’s thoroughly modified for general performance and autocrossing in particular. These modifications were carefully thought out and are well sorted. It runs and handles superbly. The car has a pleasant ride, a low idle, and is very streetable. And, with 159hp, it’s very, very quick.I bought this car in 1995. The previous owner autocrossed it with great success but I’ve used it only on the street, although I left the 5 point harness on the driver’s seat for fun.
    • What’s special about this car?
      • 5-speed gearbox
      • sunroof added
      • headlight covers added
      • headlights replaced with Cibies
      • Momo steering wheel, smaller than stock
      • Panasport wheels, sized to fit slightly wider tires than stock
      • engine by Marcovicci-Wenz Engineering to my requirements, dyno’d at 159 bhp. Torque starts low and comes on strong. Less than 2500 miles on engine.
      • Runs great on 93 octane pump gas. Ask for details of what was done.
      • exhaust header fabricated by Claudius, JetHot coating
      • electric fuel pump
      • adjustable Koni shocks
      • front brakes were replaced with the larger GT6 calipers
      • rear has adjustable lower links with heim joints
      • front sway bar by Claudius, hollow and slightly larger than stock
      • adjustable rear sway bar added but is disconnected for street use
      • both fuel tanks were slosh-coated inside and painted outside
      • to reduce the car’s weight and improve balance, the brake boosters were removed, the spare tire was removed, and the battery was relocated to a reinforced area in front.
      • battery shut-off switch installed in the front luggage compartment
      • I was told that it’s slightly lower all around than stock.

It is 35 years old, and shows wear in places, and with all cosmetics being original, it has light spider cracks on all top surfaces, as well as a few small tears on the seats.

  • 1973 Europa TCS (73073840R) - Sold 4/9/09
    • I am selling my Lotus Europa Twin Cam. I have owned it since 2001 and have most of the repair work receipts from before that time and all receipts since. It gets driven weekly and is running nicely. Just tuned up by Kevin Molineaux at Arcane Automotive in Fresno CA. He went over the whole car and gave it his blessing. It is not perfect but few Europas are that have 54,000 miles on them. It is a pretty solid car not a project car. Some minor fixes. Doesn't overheat even in the Central Valley California summers. Everything works. Paint needs a buffing but it's about a 10' paint job. Interior is very good but it needs some carpet TLC. It does not need a restoration. Just a refreshing.

  • 1973 Europa TC Special (73043381R) - Sold 12/12/08
    • I've decided I would like to sell a disassembled project car. It's basically a painted body. A fresh engine with oversized pan and corrillo rods. A Frame. A 4 speed transmission and boxes of parts. The only thing that's finished is the front suspension with all new or refurbished parts. I would guess the parts are at least 80% complete. It also comes with a new set of AVO shocks/springs from Bean and a set of tires. Here's a link to a copy of Hayes' ad from the time I bought it from him in april of '05. I'm located in Austin Texas an am willing to entertain any reasonable offer. If anyone is really interested I'll create a list of what parts I do, and don't have. Here's a link to more information. • FOR SALE: 1974 Lotus Europa Twin Cam 5 Speed Special with 42,850 original miles. This car was built in January 1974; with original Citrus White with a Tan/Champaign interior. This car has over $3700 in updates and new parts in the within the last year. The interior has new carpets and floor mats, new pedal pads, redone seats and new dash (with a glove compartment door). All of these have been done in the last 6 months. The interior is showroom shape with a Becker Europa II AM/FM Stereo radio from a Mercedes-Benz.
    • There is also a new front windshield with improved glue for no leaks and a stiffer body. When the dash was replaced the whole interior was out of the car and the rear firewall was fiber glassed for added strength. The tach was sent in to be calibrated for the electronic ignition. I also added three new grounds to the dash to help the notorious ground problems that come with Lucas wiring and fiber glass bodies. Additional weather stripping was added so the car does not leak. The turn signal flasher, four way flasher and voltage stabilizer were replaced in the last 6 months.
    • I have also replaced the master cylinder and master cylinder brake hoses along with the rear wheel brake cylinders. I have new Stainless Steel front hoses but they are not installed. The brake boosters were not working so they were discarded when the new master cylinder was installed but the holes were fiber glassed over and painted. There is an upgraded starter. The photos show the single Weber 32/36 DGV conversation. The car runs much better, has a steady idle, is faster, more powerful with more-low end grunt and when the second choke (or barrel) opens you feel the extra power pull over complete rev range. The best thing is if replacement parts are needed they are easy and cheap to get not to mention the chance of an engine fire is gone. Also, the Weber has a lot more tuning possibilities. The Weber 32/36 DGV is the carb on FF1600 and FF2000 race cars so there is plenty of room to get much more performance. One drive and you see what I mean.
    • I do have the original intake manifold. I have the original spare tire and the rear trunk but they have been removed for the photographs. The tires are new (500 miles) and the header/muffler might have 400 miles. Any time I have replaced a nut and bolt it was changed with aircraft grade hardware. I have installed adjustable lower rear links and they may have 600 miles on them. The body looks great from 5 to 10 feet but the car is 34 years old, to my knowledge it has been garaged from new. There are a couple of marks in the body but nothing to worry about as far as I was concerned when I bought it. The body was rubbed out last fall and waxed with two step Auto Glym.
    • There is one mark on the passenger door as the photo shows. The horn does not work. I replaced the horn but I think the switch might be bad so I have a replacement column controls but they are not installed. The engine oil has been changed less than 300 miles ago and transmission oil was no more than 500 miles ago. I have two owner’s manuals, a service voucher book, original shop manual, an original sales brochure and a book that is a collection of articles that are included. Basically, anything I have that is Europa goes with the car.

    • Coachwork: The car is finished in Minerva Blue this is a colour change from it’s original lime green, this took place before the last keeper or his friend purchased her in the mid 80’s so is definitely over a quarter of a century old consequently the paint is not in it’s first flush of youth as the last keeper has never had any paintwork in his ownership. So whilst it is suffering from the usual micro blistering (common on fibre glass cars where the body sweats under the paint) the actual shell is in very good condition with very few stress marks ,the doors have not dropped and shut perfectly. Whilst the car would benefit from a repaint she is still highly presentable and useable !
    • Interior: Considering her age the interior is in very good condition. The wooden dashboard is excellent, likewise dash top ,door cards, headlining ,carpets, centre console. The overall condition of the seats considering their age are also excellent with just a couple of small splits in the drivers seat bolster.
    • Engine : Superb! Showing excellent oil pressure and quiet valve train the car is running on twin Dellorto 40 DHLA carburetors.
    • Transaxle: The 356 transaxle is in excellent condition with no wind up or clunks, the gear change is the usual Europa syndrome ,once mastered no problem!
    • Chassis: In excellent condition benefiting from its dry use and regular hammeriting.
    • Brakes: Excellent with good retardation and a hand brake that works!
    • Suspension/Steering: The suspension is excellent all round likewise the steering being pin sharp.
    • Electrics: For a lotus pretty good! The only gauges playing up are the fuel gauge and the temperature gauge, everything else along with the electric windows are fine!
    • Wheels and tyres: All good
    • Exhaust: The car is fitted with a stainless steel system.

    • Purchased new in England by a RAF (Royal Air Force) pilot.
    • Only one owner from new! It also comes with the original bill of sale from Lotus.
    • John picked it up at the factory! He and a friend customized it by removing the ugly front lights on top between the headlights, and I added the headlight covers. It gives it very much a Muria Lambo look. They also added extra brake lights above the headrest in the back window for safety reasons.
    • I rebuilt the rear brakes and master cylinder, and added carbon kevlar pads and shoes to the front and back. I installed my own custom choke cable on the trans tunnell by the driver's seat for use of ease. It works well!... and so do the electric windows.
    • I also replaced the the axle seals in the transaxle. This car is very dry underneath!
    • The "Little Bastard" fires right up and runs strong with the added weber carb and headers! and the trans shifts well. This is a fun little car! It runs cool with a fan switch on the dash. The AC fan blows very strongly out the dash, but it needs freon. at 37 years young, it also needs the tachometer and speedometer looked at; the other guages work well!
    • I considered making this my "track car", but I have too many hobbies and I'm starting two new businesses. The title is in the original owner's name, so you will be the 2nd registered owner of this hot looking little car.
    • The interior is pretty nice as you can see, but the car does need paint to show off, but it looks good enough for racing and people won't carew at the car shows...they will be in too much awe of such an exotic looking little car! The center cap area is broken on one wheel but there are shops that can repair that...I do not have the missing piece.
